Beauty On A Budget - Vaseline as an Eye Cream

jennifer-aniston-vaselineOver the last few months I have noticed that a lot of people use Vaseline as a face product.

I was even more surprised when I read an article that Jennifer Anniston uses this as an eye cream, so I figured if it is good enough for her then I should give it a whirl. Marilyn Monroe also allegedly used it as a face cream religiously to stay youthful-looking.

I have now started to use this as part of my beauty routine.  Before using this I didn't seem to be getting a lot from my eye cream, as I felt like the skin around my eyes looked dehydrated and since using this the wrinkles don't look as dehydrated.  I use this after my normal eye cream. If you keep a small pot on your bedside cabinet you will never forget to apply it plus you can rub a bit into your cuticles to keep them soft.

What have you got to lose for around £1.50 a jar which will last you a long long time so give it a try.

See below list of other great uses for Vaseline

1. Dry Feet
Put a coat of vaseline on your feet at night, cover them with socks and wake up to softer feet
2. Frizz Tamer
From split ends to untamed eyebrows, the tiniest dab rubbed between your fingers will tame any out-of-control hair.
3. Lip Gloss
Out of lipstick? Grab a lip liner, blend some colour all over your lips, and top with Vaseline for instant colour shine on the cheap.
4. Eye/Cheek Gloss
Mix a bit of Vaseline with powdered eye shadow or blush for a highlighting sheen. Apply sparingly – you don’t want people to see their reflections in your make-up.
5. Cracked/Chapped Lips
If your lips are feeling dry and cracked, smooth some vaseline over your lips to help make them kissable again.
6. Cutlicles
Use on your cuticles several times a day for softer and better looking cuticles every day.
7. Body Scrub
Mix with salt to make a great body scrub in the shower.
